This event caused the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the multi-storey parking facility.

Two individuals are now facing charges following a luggage theft where a believed to be capsaicin spray caused injuries at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and charges for using a harmful chemical, according to official statements.

This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after getting out of a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and not considered a terror-related act – resulted in train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
