Trump Calls Relatives of Shot Guard Personnel to the Presidential Residence
President Trump announced on Sunday that he has asked the relatives of a National Guard member fatally shot last week to visit the executive mansion.
He mentioned that he contacted her family and they were “deeply grieving”.

Her comrade, US air force staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, continues receiving treatment in serious condition.

The commander-in-chief stated he’s talked about a meeting at the presidential residence for the loved ones of both soldiers of the West Virginia National Guard.
“I stated: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a hard experience, come to the White House. We’re going to honor Sarah,” Trump addressed journalists. “And likewise with Andrew, whether he recovers or not.”

Attendees gathered over the weekend at the high school in the state to pay respects to Beckstrom.
Both the soldiers had been fulfilling duties with the state guard as part of Trump’s government program to assist public safety in DC.
Paying Tribute to Beckstrom
“She was the kind of student that educators desired. She carried herself with quiet strength, a warm expression and a upbeat demeanor that lifted people around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the leader of Beckstrom’s former high school, told the Associated Press. “She was kind, compassionate and always ready to help others.”
Funeral arrangements for Sarah are yet to be finalized.

Law enforcement have accused a twenty-nine-year-old individual from Afghanistan with a charge of first-degree murder and two counts of assault with intent to kill while carrying a weapon.
The event prompted the administration to halt refugee claims and cease providing entry permits to possessors of passports from Afghanistan.

The airman, a resident of the city, began his service in February 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of his local high school, as reported by the AP.
He remains under medical supervision and is “fighting for his life”, the state’s leader the governor mentioned on television.

Memory of Sarah Beckstrom
Sarah, from her hometown, graduated from Webster County High in 2023 and joined the military shortly after, working as a law enforcement officer with excellence, according to the military.
“She had a lot of kindness and she definitely had courage,” he told the crowd at the vigil. “Though her life was cut short, she has left a mark that’s going to be remembered always.”
