The Warrior Group Unveiled
Episode 3 finished on a major cliffhanger and presented the first table of adventurers who will split off from the primary party to begin their independent quest, apart from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team consists of Teor (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
Considering a large ensemble, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at a single group would be unworkable.
This explains, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Prelude, weaving together the individual narratives before branching into three distinct groups: Warriors, Schemers, and Questers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for players who enjoy a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.
At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might seem unsuited, but the events of the third episode demonstrate why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the party understands precisely where to go next after a brutal opening clash with the enemy group.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—exploited the foes for his selfish purposes, invading the secret base, attacking the rogue, and swiping all the powerful objects to sell off.
Casimir then settled his liabilities and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each character has a personal reason to exit Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, seeks retribution.
- The adventurer has experience in the region and cautions that it is a dangerous location.
- The warrior and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their reputation as important members in House Halovar could assist the team reach areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Furthermore, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.
Fugitives
Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that control the city for a range of causes, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- The rogue and The character are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- The fighter is wanted dead by the family.
This results in them no alternative but to head to Timmony in quest for the antagonist.
