Eulogies Flow for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

More than two weeks after the tragic deaths of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues persist in remembering the duo.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Posting on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt ready to share openly about his profound loss.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can at last articulate my loss into words," shared Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "Once we started spending more time together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the film, commenting that he could not remember "any day without mirth".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Values that Rob held dear. Which is among the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "To say that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I remember you." He finished with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist

In a different tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to block the release of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, following a petition from the LAPD.

A legal directive placed a restriction on the cases to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" connected to the active case.

The relevant authority had earlier stated their deaths were the consequence of murder, with a record noting the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Fallout and Commentary

Following the killings, public individuals shared different reactions.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, making divisive remarks that were met with immediate backlash by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the detractors recently. Conversing on his program, Rogan labeled the statements as "shocking" and remarked they showed a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an aide should have stepped in when the impulse to weigh in on the death was made.
